Renzo Vitale Combines Art and Science

RWTHextern hosts an evening with Renzo Vitale, an engineer and musician fascinated with sound.

 

Why just focus on one professional field, when there are so many exciting things to discover? The engineer and musician Renzo Vitale has now been invited by RWTHextern to speak and perform at the upcoming event in the “What do You Do?” lecture and interview series.

The event, titled “Constructive Interferences – The Worlds of the Musician and Engineer Renzo Vitale,” will be moderated by RWTH Chancellor Manfred Nettekoven and is scheduled to take place June 27 at 6:30pm in the University’s Aula in the RWTH Main Building. Admission is free of charge.

Vitale studied electrical engineering and piano in Italy and completed his doctorate at RWTH Aachen University. He is a development engineer at the research and innovation center of a major carmaker, but also an active composer and musician performing concerts worldwide. In his activities, he combines science and art, expressing his fascination with multi-layered soundscapes. His approach is interdisciplinary – simultaneously, multimedial, scientific and technical.

At the event, Vitale will give an overview of his career so far and provide insights into his everyday activities. Furthermore, he will perform on the piano and answer questions from the audience.
