The SAP software, composed of modules, makes it possible to integrate university processes with each other. Isolated systems and partial solutions can thus be successively replaced.
At the beginning of 2014, the account department began the transition to SAP with administrative accounting, assets accounting, external funding, budgeting, and cost accounting.
Human resources transitioned its personnel management, position management, and travel cost reimbursement and the logistics department transferred its procurement and facility management to the SAP software in mid-2016.
In the third project phase, a workflow for the electronic processing of incoming invoices and for requesting, approving, and settling business trips was introduced in close collaboration between the institutions and university administration.
The current project phase focuses on the automated mapping of absences by implementing a vacation workflow, introducing holistic procurement and inventory management, and automating data archiving and deletion in the SAP system. Work is also underway on a solution for the electronic processing of outgoing invoices.
