Aachen Biology and Biotechnology Day
School students are invited to take part online on November 12, 2021.
On Friday, November 12, 2021, RWTH is delighted to be hosting the “Aachen Biology and Biotechnology Day.” This is a great opportunity for pupils, teachers, and students to learn about the broad spectrum of teaching and research activities at RWTH’s Department of Biology. The interactive lectures and demonstrations are held in German and are scheduled to take place exclusively online from 8:30am to 1pm.
Various demonstrations of experiments are planned, as are lectures, for example, on the following topics: “Malaria - from a harmless sting to a dangerous infection” or “Defensive green stuff - how plants keep their enemies at bay.” The program also includes a ScienceSlam on “Taming plants made easy!” and a lecture and discussion on “What to do with plastic waste - microbes that help recycle plastic.” Advising is also available and will be offered by the RWTH Student Advice Center team.
Advance registration is required and is open now. Please note that all lectures and other events are held in German. The program and the link to the registration are available on the German pages of the Department of Biology website.
