Productivity in the Mining Sector

The Institute for Advanced Mining Technologies at RWTH Aachen under the direction of Professor Elisabeth Clausen will be hosting the "International Conference on High Performance Mining" on December 4 and 5, 2018.

The event will take place for the first time, with a number of approximately 180 visitors from numerous different countries expected. Representatives from industry, research facilities, and associations will be exchanging ideas at the RWTH Aachen SuperC building about the major factors for successful mining endeavors in the future. Mining operators, providers of mining technology, and producers will jointly present projects and results specifically developed to increase productivity. An integrated project design for a sustainable net product will be discussed and different scenarios regarding the future of mining will be shown. Another focus will be on ways to improve social acceptance of mining projects. The conference language will be English.
