As in the years prior, Aachen's citizens are once again called upon to help fulfill at least one Christmas wish of children, adolescents, and young adults who live apart from their families due to experiences of stress and suffering and are now being cared for by the youth welfare center Burtscheid. This annual charity event, now in its eleventh year, is again hosted by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship group of RWTH Aachen as well as the youth organization Rotaract Club Aachen.
On Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at 5pm, Professor Malte Brettel, Vice-Rector for Industry and Business Relations, will present the gifts to the young recipients. A small celebration in the foyer of the SuperC, Templergraben 55, will also mark the festive occasion.
Everyone is welcome to join in: A Christmas tree hung with tags with wishes on them is set up in the foyer of the SuperC. Just take a tag from the tree and enter your name in a list that is provided nearby. The wrapped present, about 20 euros worth, with the name of the child and their wish attached should be dropped off by Friday, December 14, 2018, at the SuperC info desk. The info desk is open Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 4pm.
