An information event targeted at those who are thinking of terminating their studies at one of the Aachen universities.
If you are in the midst of a course of study but have serious doubts about whether to continue with it, you are faced with a tough decision: Try to complete your degree program, transfer to another program, or terminate your studies. Many other questions come up as well. On Thursday, January 24, 2019, the information event “Doubting Your Course Choice? Find Your Career Path!” seeks to find answers to the above questions. The event, which is jointly hosted by the City of Aachen, RWTH, FH Aachen, Forschungszentrum Jülich, and the employment agency, takes place from 2 to 4pm at the Generali-Saal, SuperC, Templergraben 57.
The event is targeted at those who are considering terminating their studies at one of the Aachen universities and provides an overview of alternative educational options. Numerous different advising services will be presenting information, such as the RWTH mentoring services, the student advice centers at RWTH Aachen and FH Aachen, the Employment Agency Aachen, the Vocational Training Center at RWTH Aachen and Forschungszentrum Jülich, as well as the SWITCH and RESET programs. Students attending the event also have the chance to talk to and get advice from representatives directly.
SWITCH and RESET
SWITCH, a program established by the city of Aachen, and RESET, initiated by the Chamber of Commerce Aachen, IHK, support students who quit their course of study in applying for a dual vocational training position in the Aachen region.
