The Land Issue: An Exhibition on Land Policy at RWTH
“The Land Issue: Climate, Economy, Common Good” is the title of an exhibition that will open on March 25, 2022, in the foyer of the Reiff Museum at the Faculty of Architecture, Schinkelstraße 1, Aachen.
The exhibition examines the impact of current land policy on our climate, the economy, and public welfare. Due to the global financial market crisis, conservative financial investments are no longer profitable, and land has become an attractive investment opportunity. Rising rents are a symptom of this, but what is realy at stake are social market economy and the common good.
Curated by Professor Stefan Rettich and his team from the University of Kassel, the exhibition examines 30 land use and land policy aspects in the sub-areas of climate, the economy, and the common good. In the accompanying events "Alle Jahre Bodenfrage!" on March 29 and "What Can Architects Do?" on April 5, high-profile panels will discuss possible solutions to one of the most urgent questions of our time.
The panel discussions will take place from 6 to 8 pm as online/in-person hybrid events. Up to 40 individuals may attend on site. Pre-registration is required for in-person attendance.
More information about the exhibition, which is scheduled to run until April 28, 2022, is available at: The Land Issue. Climate, Economy, Common Good
