Professor Paul Thomes is professor emeritus of Economic and Social History and History of Technology. In episode 4, we are taking a closer look at the historical and global dimensions of transformation processes. We are talking about what we can, and cannot, learn from history; the historically unique opportunity for the Rhenish mining area; and the value of knowledge and research in general. What’s more, Professor Thomes will reveal which form of energy could play the key role in a future sustainable energy system.
