RWTH Invites Young People to Take Part in its Schülerunis
Registrations for the summer vacations are now open.
During the North Rhine-Westphalia summer vacations, RWTH Aachen University is again inviting students to attend its Schülerunis. With workshops, sample lectures, experiments, and visits to institutes, the free offer provides an insight into a course of study and thus helps the young people to decide what they want to study.
For middle school students, there is the “MINT-Schüleruni”. MINT stands for mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, and technology. Here, participants get to know one of the RWTH student labs every day.
Nine Schülerunis are offered for high school students. The choices are architecture, civil and environmental engineering, chemistry, computer science, engineering - developing sustainable technologies for the future, mechanical engineering, mathematics, MINT teaching, and physics. The Physics Schüleruni will also be broadcast digitally.
Two other Schülerunis are exclusively for girls: “MINT & Fit” has been designed for 12- to 14-year-old schoolgirls. They attend a workshop every day and discover new sports. The “Engineering taster university for girls” gives high school girls an insight into the work of an engineer.
Further Information
All Schülerunis are to take place in a face-to-face setting, but this may change at short notice due to Covid-19 regulations. Registrations are possible from now until June 17, 2022. If the places of a Schülerunis are taken, a waiting list will be established. See the Schüleruni website for further information and registration. Please note that this information is not available in English, as Schülerunis are only held in German.
