RWTH Fares Well in QS World University Rankings
The latest QS World University Rankings put RWTH Aachen University among the 150 best universities in the world. The University has reached position 147 and has thus been able to improve significantly on its previous ranking of 165. RWTH currently ranks seventh in Germany.
The ranking was published by the British information service provider Quacquarelli Symonds; it is compiled annually and is considered one of the most important university rankings. It analyzes internationalization, reputation, academic staff-to-student ratio, and quality of publications.
The number of international students and employees determines the internationalization indicator. RWTH achieves a better ranking here than the previous year and is ranked second in Germany for international students.
The quality of publications is determined by the frequency with which publications by scientists are cited. Here, RWTH achieved a significant improvement compared to 2021, ranking fifth in Germany and thus achieving its best result to date.
In terms of reputation among academics, RWTH has improved to ninth place as far as German Universities go. Regarding its reputation among employers, the University is again in second place, the same ranking it also reached in previous years.
