Graphene 2022 Held in Aachen
Graphene 2022, Europe's largest conference on graphene and 2D materials, is scheduled to be held in Aachen from July 5 to 8, 2022. The conference will showcase the great potential of the future technology.
The Chair of Electronic Devices at RWTH Aachen University, together with AMO GmbH and the Phantoms Foundation, will host Europe's largest conference on graphene and 2D materials in Aachen from July 5 to 8, 2022. The 12th edition of the annual conference will welcome 76 speakers and 33 confirmed exhibitors from across the globe. Conference venues include the Eurogress Conference Center, RWTH Aachen University, and the Coronation Hall of Aachen City Hall.
“After two years of break due to the pandemic, we are extremely happy to be able to organize this major in-person meeting here in Aachen. Conferences play an extremely important role for the advancement of science. They are an incubator for new ideas and new collaborations,” says Professor Max Lemme. “It is a very exciting time for research on graphene and 2D materials. After sixteen years from the discovery of graphene, we are now in the position of start exployting the exceptional properties of these materials for applications that are not possible otherwise. But for this to happen, it is necessary to bring together different competences – and this is what conferences are good for,” adds Lemme.
Among the high-profile speakers at Graphene 2022 will be the 2010 Nobel Prize laureate in physics, Professor Andre Geim, and the Spanish solid-state physicist Professor Pablo Jarillo-Herrero from MIT.
