Doctoral Anniversary
Since 2004, RWTH has been inviting doctoral graduates from 25 and 50 years ago to Aachen to celebrate their silver and golden doctoral anniversaries.
Friday, September 1 and Saturday, September 2, 2023
The milestone is always celebrated in the calendar year following the anniversary, to ensure that doctorates that were only awarded their certificate in December of the year in question have also reached their actual anniversary. In 2022, for example, the graduating classes of 1996 and 1971 were honored, and this year, those who received their certificates in 1997 and 1972 will celebrate their anniversary. The date of issue of the doctoral certificate is decisive here.
This year's milestone will be celebrated on September 1, 2023, from 4:30pm at Aula 1 of the Main Building. The following day, you are warmly invited to celebrate with graduates who are bidding farewell to the University on the CHIO grounds in the Soers district of Aachen.
