Our vocational training positions are open to all, regardless of gender.
It's possible that you will want to apply to variety of positions in different career fields. In this case, please submit one application per vocation. You can mail all of the applications together in one envelope to save on postage costs.
The Right Time for Your Application
Selection of apprentices begins in August of the preceding year. At this time, all open positions are filled by rolling admission. You should apply as early as possible! The later we receive your application, the less open spots there are available.
There is an application deadline for the following vocations. It ends on May 31 of the year of hire.
- Electronics technician for devices and systems
- Management assistant for office management
- Management assistant for dialogue marketing
- Industrial mechanic
- Technical product designer
However please note: The application deadline is only relevant if there are still open vocation spots up to that point. If all of the spots in a vocation are filled, no more applications will be accepted - even if the application deadline has not passed yet. There is not an application deadline for any other vocations. However, please remember: Your applications will be accepted until a preselection has taken place or all spots are filled.
The Online Application for the vocations listed above can only be submitted till May 24. For technical reasons, the log in for the respective vocations stops work one week before the application deadline. Applications will only be accepted per mail after this day.
Applications from Disabled Persons
Our university has been recognized with the "Prädikat behindertenfreundlich" for its efforts to train and employ disabled persons. We particularly desire applications from qualified disabled persons. This also applies for equals with a disability degree between 30 and 50. You can refer to Sozialgesetzbuch Neun (§2 SGB IX) to find out which individuals this includes.
If you, as a disabled individual, have the right to compensation for any disadvantages or particular conditions during the selection process (e.g. sign language interpreter, an individual test, longer test time), please provide us with the corresponding proof. Make arrangements for the alternative conditions before you take the test. If you are interested in a posted position, please submit the proof (e.g. the Feststellungsbescheid eines Versorgungsamtes) to the RWTH Aachen Staff Disabilities Liaison as early as possible.
