“Aachener Fachsymposium Straßenwesen” – Recent Developments in Highway Engineering

The introduction of concrete measures to reduce pollution in road construction and to ensure a high-quality and sustainable road system continues to be associated with significant uncertainties in daily practice. Despite the enormous importance, approaches considering innovative procedures are still too rarely applied in current tenders. Consequently, we must first develop a basic understanding of the topic to help boost the introduction of such approaches.
This year's symposium aims to provide an overview and make the topic tangible and understandable. We will address the latest developments in various areas of road construction and discuss approaches for establishing innovative procedures for upcoming construction projects.
