RWTH Fellow

The RWTH Fellow award recognizes outstanding professors at RWTH Aachen University who have made significant contributions to research and provided exceptional service to the University.

Each dean nominates a professor from their faculty. Based on external reviews, the RWTH Fellow selection committee recommends candidates for appointment to the Rectorate.

In 2024, Professor Max Lemme from Faculty 6 and Professor Harald Müller from Faculty 7 were appointed RWTH Fellows. The official award ceremony was held during the RWTHtransparent event in late January 2024.

In addition to Vice Rector Sabine Brück-Dürkop, the RWTH Fellow Selection Committee includes the members of the ERS Selection Committee as well as the spokespersons of the Profile Areas. To ensure good scientific practice, committee members nominated as RWTH Fellows by their dean are excluded from the selection process.
